Markdown to HTML Converter 📝
Write a small parser that turns headings, bold, italics, links and bullet lists into HTML. The heart of every static site generator.
Parsers are less scary than they sound. Go line by line for block elements (headings, lists, paragraphs) and use re.sub for inline elements (bold, italic, links).
This is a Pro project. Six portfolio projects are free, so you can see how they work before deciding.
